What EvenKeel can access

YouTube pages (host permission): EvenKeel reads audio from YouTube tabs to detect speech patterns and adjust playback speed. No page content, no watch history, and no account data is read or stored.

Chrome storage (storage permission): Your preferred WPM setting is saved locally in Chrome — only on your device — so EvenKeel remembers your preference between sessions. This data is never transmitted anywhere.

What EvenKeel does not do

• Does not collect or transmit any personal data
• Does not send data to any external server
• Does not use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting
• Does not share anything with third parties
• Does not read your YouTube watch history or account information

Your local data

Your WPM preference is stored using chrome.storage.local. This data stays on your device and is removed automatically when you uninstall EvenKeel.
